KCSE Results 2011 are out

The moment that the 2011 KCSE candidates have been waiting has finally come. At the moment, the minister for education, Prof Sam Ongeri, and other officials in the education sector are at the Mitihani House for the official release of the results.

This is definitely a tense moment, especially for the students who hope to clinche the top most position in the country. We shall keep you posted on the proceedings there and ensure that you have all the news as they happen.

The ministry has also anounced that as soon as the Minister announces the results, the students will be able to access their results by sending their exam registration details to 5052 or by visiting the Kenya National Examination Council's website at www.knec.ac.ke.

Matatu Strike Monday 19th Dec 2011 Still On




It still remains unclear to many people whether the matatu strike planned for Monday 19th of December will take effect. There were claims by the industry players that they will not participate in the COTU called strike sitting the festive season as their business peak time. But from the way things are going, if you were planning to travel, you would better do that before 19th.

In a press conference that was aired live by NTV, on Sunday 18th December, COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli sort to clarify that the strike is not only for the Matatu industry players but for all “Kenyans of good will”. According to him, all Kenyans who care about the welfare of the economically lowly Kenyans should take part in the forth coming strike. He said that we are fighting for the “Hustlers wa mtaa” and even quoted the bible where it says that the kingdom of heaven at its goodies is for those that fight for the rights of the poor.

Doctor’s strike called off

Finally, after a whole week of a bad strike, the Kenyan doctors will be back to work starting the morning of December 13th. The guys reached an agreement with finance minister Uhuru Kenyatta who promised them various allowances as part of their salary increment deal. The doctors were also promised a salary increment to be implemented in two faces, one next month and the other in July 2012...the same tactic that the government has been using.
